My Site is Still being Constructed, and a bit of work still to do. Thankyou

As well as driving XM's I also drive Xantias, and do a few repairs to a number of local cars. I have owned a few Xantias myself, Ive currently got two in my possesion, and one that ive done up and is almost ready for MOT to sell on. See my "Current Projects" section for cars Im currently working on.

My Series One Xantia

This is my Series One Xantia 1.9 Td SX. The cars is a 1994 on an L plate. But features a few differences. This particular model has currently got 209,000 miles on the clock, on which I beleve to be the original head gasket. She keeps going, but with regular oil changes at every 5k or so, Id expect it to..

Early Xantias 1993 to Mid 1994

These cars are quite rare now as they were only about for 13 months and most were petrol, as it was Two Months between the launch of the Petrol models and the Diesel Models.  These first models were known in the Xantia world as "Sinker" cars. This was due to the fact that when the ignition was switched off the car would sink to the ground. This system was fitted for a short while and although its regarded the Anti Sink system came in with a slight facelifted front end, there are however some earlyer cars fitted with anti sink. My series one above is an L reg 1994 car with the First front, BUT it has got Anti sink fitted. A customer of mine also has an L reg 1993 which IS a sinker model.

Mid 1994 facelift externally was small. The badge moved from the bonnet and onto the grill. Other mods were Drivers Air Bag and seatbelt tensioners. On the engines, the timing belt covers were changed too, the metal back plate was deleted from behind the cambelt and a different type of cover was fitted. The speedo also changed to electronic pickup and the cable deleted. During 1995 the 14" Steel wheels were replaced with 15" steel wheels. All alloy wheels were 15".
